“Out of the Fog and Into the Light 2008”

SAA members of the Bay Area SAA will hold their eighth annual retreat which has as its theme “Out of the Fog and Into the Light 2008” on Friday, March 14, 4 pm until Sunday March 16 at 4 pm. The retreat will be held at the Happy Valley Conference Center in the Santa Cruz redwoods. The event will feature meetings, workshops, meditation, hikes, art activities, fellowship and fun. What to Bring: Flashlight, sleeping bag or bedding, towel, and comfortable clothing for cool weather. Rooms are shared and arranged upon arrival Campsites are available if you want to bring a tent.

The registration fee is $160 if paid before February 15^th, and $175 if paid thereafter. Early registration is recommended as space is limited.

“Embracing Our Recovery: Using the Steps and Traditions”

SAA members of the Ohio-West Virginia SAA Intergroup will hold a one day retreat entitled “ Embracing Our Recovery: Using the Steps and Traditions ” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2008. The retreat will be held at Riverside Health Center, Riverside Annex (Basement, Room G), 500 Thomas Lane at Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, OH.

Registration will be from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. There is a $15 suggested donation. Breakfast and lunch are included in the registration.

“5^th Annual Tulsa Spring Retreat”

SAA members of Serenity Group of Tulsa, OK will hold their 5^th Annual Spring Retreat on Saturday, April 19, 2008. The event, will feature First Step readings by old timers, and a workshop on the “Tools of Recovery” pamphlet. The retreat will be held at Hope Unitarian “Cabin in the Woods”, 8300 S Sheridan Rd, Tulsa, OK.

Registration will begin at 8:30 AM. There is a $9 suggested donation. Included in the registration is a meal, coffee and donuts, and snacks throughout the day.

“50 Ways to Leave Your Addict”

SAA members of the Austin Intergroup will be holding a Texas SAA Spring Retreat on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27. The event has as it's theme “(There must be) 50 Ways to Leave Your Addict, Saying Goodbye to Your Inner Addict.” The event features three workshops:

• Hop on The Bus Gus (The Quick Fix: Getting By in a Pinch)
• Make a New Plan Stan (Planning for Successful Sobriety)
• Get Yourself Free (Anatomy of Sanity – A Day in The “Sober” Life)

Retreat cost: $75.00, due by April 18. (Exceptions may be made depending on number of vacancies.) Cost includes meals and lodging.
