Meeting Information

Is this a group or an intergroup?
GroupIntergroup

All groups must have a public email address for newcomers to contact. This information will be available on the web.

To protect your personal information, it is recommended that groups set up unique email addresses which do not contain personal identifiers, such as your last name, and phone numbers using pay-as-you go "burner phones" or virtual phone numbers. We cannot guarantee that your information remains private once it is on the web.

In keeping with Step Twelve, please respond promptly to calls and emails.

*Linking to a local site from the SAA website is contingent on compliance with ISO policies on copyright and fair use, on use of ISO trademarks, and on linking to local web sites from the SAA sites. These policies reflect principles in the Twelve Traditions of SAA. They are designed to help member groups carry the SAA message with clarity and consistency and to protect ISO resources. These documents may be downloaded here.

I acknowledge that all the group's email address, phone number, and website in the "Meeting Information" section will be made available on the web. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to use phone numbers and email addresses that preserve my anonymity.

Meeting Type

  • An in-person meeting (formerly called "face-to-face" or "local" meeting), is a meeting that meets at a physical location ONLY. It does not meet online or by phone.
  • A hybrid meeting is a meeting that meets locally in a physical location but also has a virtual option for members who cannot attend physically. Hybrid meetings are under the meeting type, "Hybrid," and appear in the meeting search when "Online" and "In Person" meetings are selected. Virtual information will be given alongside physical information.
  • A geographic-based meeting is a meeting that meets online (or by phone) but is associated with a physical location. Geographic-based meetings are under the meeting type, "Geographic-based," and appear in the meeting search when "Online" and "In Person" meetings are selected.
  • An online meeting has no physical presence or affiliation with physical meetings. These meetings require internet access, and typically meet via video platforms like Zoom or Google Meets, or text-based platforms like Reddit, WhatsApp, or IRC. Do not choose this option if your meeting is meets primarily using telephone lines.
  • A telemeeting is a meeting that uses traditional telephone lines. They involve calling into a group number and entering an access code. They are typically audio-only.

Choose your meeting type:

Who can attend your meeting? (Meeting Access)

Meeting access is a boundary that determines if visitors are welcome and if newcomers need to speak to a local member first.

  • Open to Visitors:
This indicates a meeting that is open to anyone interested in learning about SAA, whether or not they have a problem with sex addiction. Family members, spouses, significant others, and visitors may attend.
  • Those seeking help:
This indicates that the meeting admits only persons who desire to stop addictive sexual behavior (addicts only).

Having read the information above, what is your meeting access level?
