Literature

“Reading recovery literature is another important tool of the program. It helps to educate, motivate, and inspire us. Reading SAA literature helps us learn how to stay sober and work a recovery program specifically tailored for us.”

Literature Committee invites submissions

The ISO Literature Committee invites members of the fellowship to submit original writings about the SAA program of recovery (such as pamphlets or booklets) for consideration and possible publication by the ISO.

The guidelines for submission of literature, as well as a pre-review questionnaire and release form, are available here.

Authors are encouraged to consult the Literature Committee style sheet when writing material for possible publication by the ISO. The LitCom uses the Chicago Manual of Style, Seventeenth Edition, as its primary reference and includes additional guidelines for standard use of terminology that is specific or unique to SAA.

As a service to the SAA fellowship and the addict who still suffers, the ISO is pleased to offer our pamphlets and booklets in read-only format. These publications, as well as convention recordings and other materials, may be purchased at the online SAA Store or directly from the ISO office.
